Is there enough compatibitlity among the 2 to swap out the original barrel for one of Cop's Tabuk barrels?

I want to convert my Maadi into something similar to the Tabuk as far as accuracy and type of weapon.

Anything is possible and it can be done but the real question might be why to do that. You're just as close (or far, depending on how you want to look at it) from the appearance of an Iraqi Tabuk DMR with the Egyptian RPM's barrel as with a Cope's Tabuk DMR barrel (which is a couple of inches too long than the real one, anyway). Just an opinion, but you're not making any real headway toward a clone by switching barrels and you're out some money doing it. You'll simply have a noticeable Egyptian RPM rifle with a different barrel.

If you're wanting to do a Tabuk DMR project, a better candidate for a donor rifle/receiver would be a Yugo M70 rifle. Add the new barrel to it and you're much closer in appearance.

I'm not trying to make a clone. I actually want the Tabuk barrel because it's 23" , the rifle as I imagine the finished product will look nothing like a Tabuk.
