they appear to be unmarked...is there any way to actually tell that these are Maadis? bought em sight unseen (and didnt pay TONS, so its not the end of the world) and expected them to say "made in egypt", but these dont.

I'd imagine you bought them from Copes. As far as its known, they're Egyptian magazines for the "Maadi" rifle. Just because they don't say "Made in Egypt" doesn't mean they're not. They also made them without for their military rifles. You're OK.
