I just got my first Maadi ! What do ya think ? It's a bit of a beater but a verry solid gun with the been there done that look I like . She was no safe Queen (until now)
So what can you tell me about a Maadi MISR S/A ? What is this one worth ?

Fantastic character welcome to the club, get a Romanian laminate real buttstock off gunbroker, thread the bbl 1/2 x 28 and get a slant comp off theakforum.net for 420 shipped by hotbarrel, spreay paint it black and you my friend are good to go genuine Egyptian AKM, I like the used look, dont intend to just let them sit in a safe, shoot the heck out of it. I am sure you will!

Very nice! Also, don't forget to get a front sight base plunger pin and spring to secure the slant brake.

Yea I HATE that the threads were turned down and the bayonet lug was ground off but I think I'll keep the stock because the emblem on the butt means Maadi correct?
I may actually sell this one and look for a pre-ban gun.

Yes, that is an egyptian Maadi factory original Misr S/A buttstock,
Mind if I post this in another site, guys over there just love seeing pics of anything Egyptian, and you took some nice pics worth sharing, since you mentioned you may possibly want to sell it, "don't call them, they'll call you"!
I mean there are guys there who would love to have it.

Heck I will trade you links, this is my new Misr-10, it was threaded and a 1/2 x 28 slant comp was added as well as a folder.

I traded for a Maadi about a month ago. It also had the threads turned off. I had a A2 flash hider that I installed on it. To me it looks good. I had a Romy MRSI 10 come in yesterday and today I traded for a SKS with a side folding stock. I should be set with 7.62x39 rifles now. I already had a Rasheed, Chinese SKS and a SKS M model.

Summer of 2007 about $350, after Oct 2008, $450, now in 2009 try $450-$500.

I just paid $500 for an RML new in the box w/ everything except certificate at a Gun show in Ohio (private owner). That was 2 weeks ago. Prices may have gone up.

Nice. I picked up one of those a couple years ago and it has been a good gun for me. Although I will admit I am more partial to my Maadi ARM that was imported by ACC/Intrac.
