Maadi misr sa
Does anyone have info on these aks? I would like to know how many were imported and if these came with all egyptian parts (except for the trigger group that century put in them.) I have heard little about the misr sa and think it is not the one that was the butchered chinese parts added one.

I have one with the original import paperwork. If I remember correctly they were imported with no fire control group (hammer, trigger & sear) and no pistol grip.
The misr SAs made in Egypt looked like crap but think they were somewhat decent as long as you didn't get a canted site or barrel.
The FCG was believed to been a US made one installed by Century (but they refused to discuss what parts were US made). Not so sure on the pistol grip since the 5 round magazine that came with had a follower and baseplate marked with Century marks which would make up the 5 US parts needed to comply with 922R.
I know folks who replaced the FCG with something like a G2 to remove triggerslap, a US pistol grip, and US gas psiton which then let them be in full compliance with the regs using any AK mag.
Well; I went ahead and bought that sucker for 425 out the door.It had never been shot and was an consignment at the store. It had not any bbad cosmetic issues and looked better than alot of other aks I have seen.I must admit that I was shocked at the results at the sight in the othe day.It sis have trigger slap;and I did naot have change the sights at all.Using some old barnaul hollow points that I had bought from Dan's for 79.99 per 1000 a couple of years ago it shot the center out the target. It is a very tight grouper. It had no issues and shoots as good as my Bulgarian or Romanian aks.I am very pleased and will get a G2 soon.
Sounds good and the G-2 should solve that problem.
