Another VEPR Internal Receiver Block post

Ok now its time for some dumb questions for the rest of us. The DPH Block looks nice and glad to hear they are working on getting it to fit all Veprs. The problem not mentioned is that folks want to get rid of the Robinson hand guards and stock because they are very heavy (and ugly). With the new options for retractable stocks and the like what stocks will be lighter and better balance the rifles? Opinions will vary but lets hear them.

I like the Robinson furniture just fine. Helps make the gun unique, plus I think it looks good.

I'm interested in getting some standard AK furniture (possibly even 74 for the lightening cuts) to finish up compliance.

I believe the guys over at Iron Wood Designs are cooking something up for us Vepr owners. Pretty excited to see whats coming in the next few months.

But I could be swayed if a great option came out for collapsible or folding stocks.

Gotta get somebody with the robarms furniture to weigh it. Go from there.

If you dont want your heavy and ugly robarm furniture I'll take it off your hands!

I will say I was surprised by the heft of the robarms plastic. I haven't removed the for-end yet, but is there a difference between the front hand guard and, say, a 4 sided MI hand guard?
