Gadaffi was like a hoarder any weapon his guys found went into storage, rebels then stormed the weapons bunkers amd stole everything that wasn't nailed down. Then came back with crow bars and took the nails.

The usual guns in the mid-east conflicts are well used AK's this AK-103 look almost brand new. Had to be a liberated gun or one that was donated to help the rebels.

I saw some pictures of f2000's over there, I don't remember which site it was on , but it was suppressed and had a 40mm on it.

Gaddafi must have placed an order for Russian 103's, and they were captured by the rebels from a base or what not. There are many pics of their use in Libya by both sides.

On another note...have seen pics of 74M's being used by Syrian troops.

Gaddafi had some nice high end weaponry for their troops; like FN F2000 rifles with grenade launchers that were captured by the rebels and used not long ago...

The front page of the New York Times yesterday had a picture of a whole crate of what appeared
to be AK 103s (the 7.62 version) that were found under one of the houses in the Great Leaders
compound.

France also gave the rebels a bunch of nice weapons: FN, HK,Ak..etc..no FAMAS though..too easy to recognize where the weapons came from..

Basically a 103 is an AK-74M in 7.62x39. I'm sure someone like Zen will show up and really give you a good history lesson, it's late and I don't feel like typing.
