Anybody use them on a Vepr? Got Pics? Does it help dissipate the barrel heat? How about the rear site rail. Any info would be appreciated.

The Samson AK rail is very nicely finish and lightweight. I am impressed with the quality of it. But, I got horrible customer service from them on it. I saw a picture from the SHOT show with one mounted on a Saiga 308 rifle. I dropped them an email asking about it. The owner stated that if I bought a standard AK rail, they would make a Saiga 308 barrel clamp for me. So I went ahead and bought the rail. I measured up the Saiga 308 (which has a thicker barrel than a 7.62x39mm) and sent it off to them. They confirmed they recieved it and told me it is in the works. Then they fell off the radar completely. I emailed back 6 months later and got ZERO response from anybody. I did the same 3 months later and again got ZERO response. Same thing over and over for the last 3-4 years. So I have to say I am extremely disappointed that they would tell me to buy it and then completely stop responding. Once they got the sale, they provided zero support to it. I was in contact with the owner, so it wasn't as if it was a employee that over promised and left the company.

With that said, I asked MI about using their rail on an AK. They were honest with me and told me it won't work with the current model. They also stated that they do plan on working on one, but it was in the future and couldn't offer a date or even 100% confirm if it would be released. I can 100% respect a company that is up front & honest about it. So I won't hessitate to buy any MI products.

I won't buy any Samson products because they don't back their product. But I realize I really won't hur their bottom line all that much. They will keep selling parts. Luckily, there are a ton of companies out there they make similar products and back it up. So Samson won't miss me and I won't miss them. But if you care about product support after the purchase, you might consider looking elsewhere as well.
