I see Saiga 12's are back and the prices have gone down! Is now the time to buy or do you think the prices will continue to fall?

No kidding, I saw 12 ga one languishing on a local gun store bargain rack for years. $225 or something. They couldn't give it away.

The .410 and .20 ga were even cheaper.

I got one from centerfire for $599 shipped last week. Great deal, but they are 24" guns , I'll have to have it cut down when I do the conversion.

I'm sure they will get back down around in price where they were before the ATF scare soon enough....

Hell, maybe they'll go even lower than before. With the release of the MK-1919, S12's now have a formidable competitor in the semi-auto, pistol-gripped, mag-fed shotgun department. All the big dog Saiga converters are already playing with the 1919's and like them. Hopefully, the competition will drive the price down on S12's a little bit.

I thought I was the only one that remembered that... In 2003, CDNN had some great prices on them, even offered free shipping if you bought two long guns, so I bought a 20 ga Saiga in addition to a Weatherby just to get the free shipping. Wish I had gotten a 12ga instead and the 20ga is since long gone too.

Just to be mean (maybe this can help squelch demand and drive prices lower so I will buy one):

And gold used to sell for $500/oz a couple of years ago and now it's $1700+. A year or two from now when Obammie or the ATF bans the Saiga shotguns from import and you can't buy them new for any price, you'll wish you had pony'ed up the money and bought one at current prices.

Yep, especially once the 1919 gets more 922r parts and hi-cap mags readily available.

I remember taking that ad to my buddy that was an FFL. He said, "Why do want to buy that cheap crap? Buy an 870 or something decent!" Thanks a lot Pat!
