SAR-1 Need Info (Pics)
PIcked up a SAR-1 for $300, this is my first gun and don't know really anything about firearms besides the safety basics.
Markings show it a 2003 year model.. These not come with a threaded barrel or bayonet?
Can anyone explain or link to me a way to set up the sight? I'm a lefty and new to shooting but it seems that I'm always hitting to the left of the target
Gun:

First, welcome to the site.
Your front sight post is probably canted, an easy fix.
You got a terrific deal on a very sturdy rifle. You will enjoy shooting it.

I love my SAR1. In 2003 they were imported in Clinton Gun Ban status... so its missing a few evil features like the bayonet lug, etc.
To my understanding, it's one of (if not the last) true AK receivers imported. The dimples in the receiver are there to guide the mag. WASRs don't have this feature.
BTW, SAR1s typically go for quite a bit more than you paid for it.
Another welcome to the sight.
Nice rifle and great price on it. The SAR1's are great rifles IMO. Your sights are probably not canted, they just need to be adjusted unless your front sight post is all the way to one side or another. The SARs were imported into the country in a neutered configuration having no bayonet lug or threaded muzzle. Some countries actually don't have threaded muzzles on their rifles. If you want to thread your muzzle it's very easy to do if you have some mechanical ability. You can also add a bayonet lug by either swapping out your gas block or welding metal on and forming it into a bayonet lug.
The first thing I would recommend is get rid of the crappy Centruy FCG that is in it and install a Tapco G2 FCG. If you polish the metal on metal contact points of the G2 before installing it you will get an outstanding trigger.
Here is my SAR that I have fully debanned by swapping out the gas block and threading the muzzle.
Here is what it looked like when I bought it
A friend of mine just picked up a SAR1 this past weekend and I threaded the barrel for him as well as installed a polished G2 FCG, a Tapco 74 style brake, and a Hogue grip. He couldn't believe what an improvement the trigger was over the Century one that was in it. He got his at the same Pawn shop I got mine. His had a Timbersmith stock set on it but he wanted the Hogue grip instead of the Timbersmith one.
Here is his new toy:

You have one of the better AK rifles and for a great price as well.
Go here to slake your thirst for knowledge about your SAR-1.

My SAR-1 rifles:
I added the folding stock and threaded the barrel to accept a muzzle brake. The bayonet lug worked without any problem, which is very unusual with this make of AK.
Later, I further modified the rifle:
This one was my second purchase. I again threaded the barrel but this time I had to replace the bayonet lug.
You may want to get one of these windage adjustable rear sights for your SAR-1. I installed one on mine when I got it 8 years ago. Just looks nicer to me that an off center front sight pin. I too am a lefty when shooting a rifle. Pistol I shoot righty. I'm so confused.
