***UPDATE*** Finally finished with my PSL *now with suppressed video
I've had this PSL for about a year and a half and really wanted to use it for hunting hogs out of a box stand. In it's original configuration (long as a mother*&^@*#$) it didnt play well at that task so I set out to make things right. I had the barrel cut and recrowned and then threaded 5/8x24. I attached a Blackout 51T flash hider so I can use my buddies 7.62 AAC suppressor when we hunt together. I refinished the stock to give it that "war torn" yet still feel new look. Lastly I installed a Tapco G2 trigger and ACE clamp on front sight block.
What do you guys think? UPDATE*
I just got to shoot it supressed today with an AAC 7.62 suppressor. It was alot quiter in person than it sounds on the video. Once everyone left the range, the range owner and I took our hearing protection off and fired it. It sounds like a .22 long rifle. I do have one failure to feed which is the ammo's fault. I had the same issue after every 100 rounds or so even before I cut and recrowned the barrel.
Before anyone asks, the guy shooting the video is my buddy who owns the suppressor in the video. He's also the owner of the range.
Me shooting the PSL suppressed

Very cool!
Whats the cheekpiece you are using?
Absolutely amazing! I would love to see some pictures with the can on it and better yet some videos (youtube using the crappy cell phone perhaps).

Nice job, I like it.
How did you achieve that look on the stock?
I sanded and then stained the original blond stock with Red Mohagony MinWax. Once it dried, I took some 400 grit sandpaper to the areas that looked like they would wear over time. Once I achieved the desired look I put two coats of polyurethane on it to seal it up.

Sweet!

Did you burn the wood a bit to give it that look?

Ah, didn't see that. Looks great, though. Props

Thank you sir..
Looks like you took the wood and through it into a fire for a good 30 seconds and took it out
Love it, looks great
still kind of loud. I was thinking about doing that to mine..
How did you verify the threading was good enough to run a suppressor on?
Oh, you had it rethreaded.
Who did the work?
Ask for Johhny at the Arms Room in League City Texas. He's their resident riflesmith/gunsmith and a long range precision shooter. He knows his way around a cut and crown job to be sure. Any competent gunsmith can thread a barrel concentric to the bore so you can run the gun suppressed.

It sounds a lot louder in the video because of the echo and the fact that the round is smacking steel 20 yards away. Outside it sounds like my 22 rifle

That's awesome... alot quieter...
Kinda funny though... I'm a member of that range.
