Which ONE GP WASR or WASR

I am going to buy a AK soon, what is the difference between a GP WASR 10 and a WASR 10, and should I expect to see a price diffenerece in them as well? I really wanted to purchase the SAR -1 because of the magazine dimples, but it seems they are hard to come buy.

If you have some patience and keep an eye out you can still find SARs. They are on the EE from time to time here. Also check your local gun and pawn shops. I found one at a local pawn shop not too long ago that somebody had painted the wood all black and refinished it. I also threaded the barrel and IATA led a G2 FCG. By far the SARs are much nicer than the WASRs.
IIRC the WASR10 is the earlier post ban model that was imported during the AWB. My brother has one and it was stripped of the muzzle threads and bayonet lug. They are also imported with a narrow magwell and were opened up to accept 30rd mags. My brother has one that's butt ugly and looks like ray Charles aligned the FSB, gas a block and rear sight. But the thing runs like a sewing machine.
WASR 10/63s are the newer ban free rifles. They are also imported with low cap magwells and are opened up to accept 30rd mags. They do have muzzle devices and bayonet lugs, unless those things are a no no in your state. I bout one not too long ago just because the price was right. It was much nicer than my brothers 10.

I have a wasr10/63 and I love it. Mags fit very snug, no cant on the sight. Loves to eat tul and wolf. I've never had a jam either. I recommend the black jack buffer, for $15 it seems a lot smoother. The stores near me sell the 10/63 for about $20 more than the wasr10.

I def. recomend the wasr 10/63 i have one of the 10/63 uf version's . and it's as striaght and tight as you could want any ak to be . of corse i hand picked from my lgs. it origonaly had those ugly black plastic century hand guards on it but a call to apex got me a set of polish wood . now it looks as good as it shoots . ans it shoots real sweet

IIRC, The GP is the preban version (bayo lug, slant break, ect.) and the /63 guns are made from demilled romanian military rifles.
