Anyone know a good source of Chinese/Norinco MAK-90/NHM-91 parts?
I am looking for any and all parts/ sources related to my NHM-91. I have found some things but not the bolt carrier group firing pins etc. I am assuming the MAK-90 parts would fit, if not let me know. Any problems with stock fitment or anything else related to upgrading and maintaining my AK. Thanks for any help possible.
What are you looking to "upgrade"? Parts don't go bad all that often. The most common things that need replacing are springs that get worn out (after Thousands, if not Tens of Thousands of rounds). I have a Kvar spare spring kit and a spare extractor as well as the original Chinese FCG for my NHM-90 as spares, which I feel are the parts most likely to need replacing. Bolt's and the carriers are very rare to go bad or have issues. If a bolt goes bad you will need to headspace the new one.
Stocks are kind of a unique fit for each rifle. If you take a stock from 1 rifle and try to install it on another you may need to do a little fitting here and there.
Thanks for the response, I'm interested in those higher wear parts like springs firing pins etc. I am planning on getting a new stock probably from KVAR as well as a MI hand guard and a nice grip maybe Hogue not sure. I have seen Polytech Parts but they don't have a guarantee the parts will fit, so I was unsure about them.
For stocks, I'm a wood fan and for wood nothing beats ironwood designs.
