Returned to gun show with extra cash with intent to buy a polytech I spotted....IT sold before I got there ...just as I was about to leave I happened to see a norinco Milled mak-90 hiding ,, Brand new never fired covered with cosmoline inside. imported by cai..
Spring loaded firing pin, clip on night sights, two china mags,Dark Wood ––––––$550.00......................... I passed up a straight cut norinco in the summer and never wish I would have done that so now I feel better I got one and its milled!

How did I do? What can I do with the stock? I know about ironwood co. Didnt someone here do a under folder conversion ? How can that be done? I cant believe there are no tactical side folder stocks online.

Thanks people

I have 2 of those milled guns. Paid around the same price as you on the 2nd gun, & $440 on the 1st. Ironwoods is the way to go for wood, but my smith wanted $300 to put an underfolder on the gun, being milled & all. I feel that these milled guns with the dark wood & spring loaded firing pin are the closest things to the milled Polytech Legend at a reasonable price. Enjoy. GARY N4KVE

IMHO if you want a tactical ak, you should have got a stamped receiver one to save weight. I personally would get rid of the thumbhole stock and do a regular straight stock. Rear buttstocks can be found on gunbroker for milled mak-90's, or you could spend a bunch and do ironwood. For 550 you did average. There has been one at my local gunshow for about a year at that price.
