my new amd rails and optics
Hey Guys! I just recently picked up an AMD from centerfire and I must say that I am very pleased. Im thinking about doing some slight mods to it and was wondering if I could get any input. For starters Im ordering the stock adapter from amd65tech. The thing I really have a question is in regards to the the front rail. IM thinking about going with the UTG. For some reason I just think it looks the best but I was wondering how well it holds zero. Next Im thinking about optics..... primary arms red dot or primary arms micro green reflex.. oh and maybe the burris fastfire II but the price on that is shying me away from it. thanks guys

I just installed a MI rail system and a PA Micro Dot. l have not had the chance to range test and get it zeroed. That said, it appears to be a rock solid set up. I looked at the UTG rail but decided on the MI after getting some sage advice from folks here. I will post a range report once I get the chance. Good luck.
That's good news. I just bought an AMD from Centerfire today and I was concerned that the quality would be only a little better than Century. (I refuse to buy anything made by Century.)
Did you see the extended muzzlebrake that AMD65tech is working on? I plan on buying their sling attachment for the stock and the muzzlebrake when it comes out.
I use the original lower handguard and install GG&G Picatinny rails to it. Very easy to do and works just as good as anything out there and use an ultimak sight rail for the top, With this setup you can co-witness irons through an aimpoint using the low aimpoint 30mm mounting ring, nice set-up.
