centerfires amd 65
did yours come with a cleaning rod, and is there a sling mount on left side of reciever rear by the folding stock
I called them last week and they said that there is NO sling mount on the side of the receiver.
The ad says that the "Cleaning rod and kit included"
mine had the rod but they don't come w/ the sling attachments. i got one from k=var and installed it myself. they work great.
Actually many of these 'AMDs' came with the rear sling loop, but mine didn't. I got hasty, and instead of just learning more, I installed a loop that I had lying around. The real one fits in a vertical slot just ahead of the stock trunion. It's simply a form of the loop that goes on a wood stock, with the ears flattened on the inside of the receiver. The loops usually were on the cut-up receiver back half, but most of the time the 'assemblers' here in the US did not slot the receiver and install them. The loop is really a must. If I had waited, I would have been able to find an original loop, and there are excellent drawings for the slot somewhere on the site, or at least linked.
The loop I had available was an unusual one that worked out great. It has a short bolt and is non-swiveling when tightened. I planned it out, checking to make sure the BCG could not hit the nut on the inside, then drilled a small hole in the receiver (the FEG SA2000M receiver is well-hardened and very tough - took a minute or so with a new Titanium-coated bit). I put a thin stainless washer on the inside, used blue Loctite, tightened it up and cut off the excess bolt with a Dremel cut-off wheel. Here's what it looks like:
Since then I changed the sling to a 1" leather one with snap swivels at each end.
Got my amd a few weeks ago. Came with the rod but no sling mount. There is someone on GB that has AMD65 stocks still mounted to the rear of the cut receiver complete with the original sling loop for $35 shipped. Black market arms I think.
I wonder how the original loop will hold up to bending to remove and reinstall it. Would hate it if one of both tabs broke off.
My $389 AMD65 from centerfire + amd65tech riser. The riser is great
Now I just need some ironwood grips

Received mine today as well. Overall very nice! The only concern I have is that the supplied TAPCO mag is quite loose when installed (Fore and aft play) and the one lone Chinese mag I have is somewhat better, but still quite wobbly.I have some of the Hungarian 20 rounders on order, hopefully they are quite a bit tighter.
you might try a bulgy waffle mag. i've had a few rifles that they wouldn't even fit in ,when chinese steel mags fit in fine.

Will keep you gentlemen posted, They will not be in untill next monday unfortunately.
Received my Hungarian 20 round magazines yesterday from AIM. As usual, their products do not disappoint as all mags were very nice. They do fit somewhat tighter than Chinese mag I had so should be good to go

Just remember that unless you've already changed 3 other parts to USA parts, the Hungarian and Chinese mags put you out of 922r compliance.
EDIT: To use the import mags, change the rear grip and gas piston to be compliant. Or get some followers or plates for the mags for an easier route.

Absolutely correct and a good reminder. I still have a good supply of mag compliance parts left over from my prior AK fetish fortunately

Mine is a little sloppy as well. But when I insert a loaded mag a lot of the slop goes away. Mine came with the tapco 20rd mag as well.

Since I was pleased with the first, I decided to order another. I received it today and unfortunately it exhibits the same slop that you two gentlemen describe. It is so loose with Hungarian and Chinese mags that I cannot get the mag to come out unless I push it forward first(binding on the paddle).
My mag well is real sloppy to but it hasn't had any effect on function.
Out of 12 Bulgarian steel mags 6 fit fine with no mods, 3 had to have the rear locking lug filed to fit and are just a little lose,
2 rattle around they are so loose but function and the last one just doesn't want to come back out when inserted.
The supplied Tapco 20rnder fits good when loaded but real loose when empty.
All of my Chinese mags fit fine with just a little wobble.
One well used Romanian and a new Hungarian 30rnder fit loose.
Yes my stock is really hard to open and close too. But I really love this gun and I am in the process of having it SBRed.
Is it possible to install a QD sling loop to the receiver? I want to install one if it is easily possible.
