Sure, do you have a welder? You could also take out the spring/punger setup in the rear trunion and replace it with some type of solid pin/screw. You could also rip out the rear trunion and put a wood stock trunion in there and use a wood stock.
Care to describe what you mean better?
I Love the look of the AMD-65, but would prefer a Fixed stock or an underfolder or possibly a different side folding stock.
The trunnion on the 65 with the wire stock is different and the rivet holes are in a different place than where they normally would be. I know this as I bought the ACE stock, mount, flush trunnion, the reason its different is that the block that holds the stock also holds the recoil spring and guide rod. It's all one piece. You can buy a regular recoil spring guide rod mount but then again you are going to have to drill holes into the receiver to get it to fit. Then rivet that part into the receiver {or bolt it in, your choice} That was a $200 expenditure on my part to find that answer. I hope nobody else has to do the same thing I did or at least knowing what is up before one spends their hard earned money.
I got a "regular" rear AK trunion and replaced the crappy wire stock with a much nicer side folder one from Tapco. Works great!

Thank you for the information, Good watching out.
It seems the way to accomplish what I described would be to build the AMD kit on a standard receiver from the get go.
Now who is going to do this and post pics?
Well, they sell an AMD-65 with a full stock, but they call it (incorrectly) an AMD-63. So if you don't already have the kit you could just get one of those. You could also simply have the AMD-65 kit built on a standard receiver for full stock. Then you could sell off the folding stock with the special trunion that comes attached to it.
