Trying to find a gastube...
Anyone know where i can order a Hungarian short gas tube with the retainers for the standard upper handguard? I am wanting to put standard handguards on my AMD and cant find the short tube anywhere...

Gunbroker has AMD gas tubes but no handguard ones... Already looked everywhere I know to look....
People have been looking for a decade for that particular piece. The alternative back then was to buy the AMD tube(the one you saw), and have the flanges welded onto it from another tube.
Or you could cut a romy gas tube down. Heat up the end with a torch, drop a 3/8 extension in the tube, hit it with a hammer and flare the end out. Then file the tube to the exact length. $15
Or you could spend years and years looking for an SA-85M gas tube and pay the stupid high price someone will ask for it. $50++

Most SA85M gas tubes were the standard length. A few were the short length, but I've never seen one for sale. I think the most expedient thing to do is to make one as directed above.
