Black Polish Beryl Mags in an SLR 106?
I know the black Bulgarian waffles are the best. But, I was bouncing around gunbroker tonight and I saw some of these. Does anyone know if these fit/function in an slr106?
Dont they look nice

. Tag for someone to tell me they work in the 106.

10-15rnds worth, maybe up to 20. You can try to find the followers to "convert" them to 5.56/223 mags. Maybe even try one of the followers out of you C10's?
My thought on this is that they should work perfect. The 5.45 is a tad longer, but there's something about the difference in the cases that seem to make the 5.56/223 bind up in these mags.
The mags I was talking about are 30 round 5.56 Polish Beryl mags like these:

oh, my bad
Have not used them personally, but every report I have seen says they work fine. Been meaning to pick up some myself.
I run beryl mags in my 106fr and have not had a single issue, fitment was a liitle tight at first.
Thanks for the replies gentlemen. I think I'm going to have to try one now.....
Just an update. I picked up a surplus black beryl mag this week. It doesn’t have as much in the way of steel reinforcements as the Bulgarians. As a matter of fact the steel liner is only at the front end, nothing on the feed lips or the rear. Fitment in my 106F was nice and easy with a tad bit more wobble than the Bulgarian waffles. Meaning that there wasn’t much wobble at all. I took it to the range today and range today and it ran flawlessly. So, a nice alternative to the Bulgarian waffles.

Where do you find them?
Probably RTG parts. They have some used black Beryl mags back in stock. $24 + shipping

The guy selling brand new ones on GB, Michal (Cerealkiller), is also a good source. He's a stand-up guy. Bid on his auctions with confidence. I got 2 nib black mags from him for $68 shipped from Poland.
