Need sight suggestions - Arsenal 107CR
Made the plunge and purchased an Arsenal 107CR recently. First AK platform (beyond a Tromix Saiga) and I'm enjoying the gun - very reliable, solid fit/finish, unbelievable firepower in a compact, no nonsense platform.
My only problem is that after 3-500 rounds down range, I am not shooting the gun well - both in terms of point of impact and group size. Blame the shooter, blame old eyes but the AK sights and sight picture just leave me scratching my head. I shoot often (2x / week) and shoot most rifles relatively well (AR/UZI) - at least at the 25 meter distances available. I love the rifle but don't think this is any inherent AK inaccuracy issue - it's the shooter/sight. As an aside, don't want any kind of optic - got lots of those choices on AR/MP-5, etc. Bought the AK for a solid, close in workhorse that can be fired comfortably with iron sights out to 100+ meters. I'm hoping to get some good advise on where to look in terms of changing out the current irons for front/rear (if needed) sights that are a bit more shooter friendly - any help on sight combinations, replacements that work with Arsenal would be deeply appreciated.

there are some aftermarket sites out there that may help. I like the AK sites, grew up shooting rifle with the same type. Wasn't until I got into AR's that I ever experienced anything different.
There are ghost ring rear sights like http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?productNumber=432163 and http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?productNumber=644580. I'm not sure these will be much of an improvement over the stock iron sights, but I've never tried them myself.
If you ever get west to Birmingham, bring your rifle and we can hit the range. I've got a 107CR that I sighted in at 25m that rings steel at 100yd without much effort.
Krebs makes a peep site that replaces your rear site blade.
I have the same rifle and the same old eye's and I think thats
where I'm going.

Learned to shoot on an old Springfield / Savage 87A with post / leaf sights
