Arsenal milled at kvar
Wanted to get your opinion on the Arsenal milled ak at K-Var. I really like the blond furniture one but DAMN 2 grand!! Are these worth the money? And is the quality the same as the early milled Arsenal ak's? I thought the recievers were made in Bulgaria on the early models. Is that right?
AK BLING, WAYYYYYY over priced if you got the cash go for it, you pay for your wants , a stamped one shoots just as accurate
Yeah. I actually have a 107fr. Is it possible to get new furniture on that gun? I really like the wood look better than polymer

I doubt you could change the folding stock to wood easily but you can change the handguards and pg in minutes
ETA: I think the classic at K-Var is meant for collectors

If it were me, I would get a nice Polytech legend for much less, and use the rest of the cash for more mags and ammo.

Here's my NIB no ban Classic - top notch quality and very, very few made...it's in the low 100's!

there also seems to be plenty of milled arsenal models on the used market. the SLR-95 doesn't seem to be too overpriced and it's simple enough to swap out the stock / handguards.

Check the thread on the Bulgarian single stacks.
Thats the way I'm going to go and you can go nuts on the furniture or keep it simple.
If I were going to go with a new import/available milled gun it would be a VZ58 (slam dunk).
For 2 grand you can almost get a pre-ban Gallil or for sure a Valmet. Not milled I know but a different class of gun.

Beautiful!!
That must be Century's new milled receiver AKs built on new imported parts and with new US parts. You can just as easily get a milled kit for about $350 and if needs be a milled receiver for around $300 and have one for much less. Or get a torch cut milled receiver for $15 and find some one to weld it back together for you (if you lack the skills/time) and still have one for less than 2 Gs.

my SLR-95 receiver is marked 'made in bulgaria'.
The SLR-95 is 100% made in Bulgaria.Receiver,FCG,stocks, gas piston, everything. They have a steyr barrel, top of the line too.
The milled AK's are really cool. I have one but I don't shoot it very much.
The SLR-95 is an awesome rifle, and after much deliberation I decided to keep mine as-is, as I actually like the stock, would hate to change out an awesome trigger, et cetera. I figure there are plenty of kits and other AKs out there I can buy to satisfy my wants for an AK in the traditional configuration.
