AK-74 handguard options.
I have been researching some new handguards for a century arms ak-74. My brother and I took his out this weekend and after 2 mags for aimed but fast shooting the handguards were untouchable. The handguards from centruy are cheap, really cheap and can't dispense heat for shit. I have been looking for a replacement set for when my ak-74 gets back to me. I have seen some of the offerings from tapco (Tapco AK47 Intrafuse. I assume that will fit a ak-74.) I see good reviews of them from websites selling them, but after thumbing the picture threads (even the nontraditional thread) very few are to be seen.
what can you suggest I check out for handguards for an ak-74?
TLDR:
1.Century Arms handguards suck. I need new ones.
2.what are some good ones for heat dispersion.
I always preferred wood over poly. However, k-var makes a decent poly set with a heat shield. They work pretty good. Wood seems to not heat up as bad as the poly IMO, but since I use a mag hold, I can't really peg that for sure. I switched to the mag hold a few years back and can't remember for sure. Try looking at what Apex has to offer. They rock in the customer service dept and fast shipping to boot.
Thanks for the site, I am checking them out now.

Thanks for the links, I like the Bulgarian poly set. I am def. considering that one. I should still have enough US parts to be 922r compliant with just the handguards.
Thanks guys
