Is the BA series ok? Feedramp issues? If there are issues can they be fixed by an AK builder?

With BA, I'm referring to the first two letters of the serial number.

I think all of them have that prefix. It is just part of the serial number, nothing special.

All I am aware of is the BD and BE serial numbers are GTG. I am unaware of prior SN's.

The BD's and above were corrected prior to leaving the factory..

There is a sticky at the top of this thread called "5,56 Feed Ramp Fix" that has great pics of the ramp modification fro you to compare....

Also consider only buying Gen II mags... if the mag has a slot for the loading adapter for stripper clips and the ribs do not go all the way around the mag - It's Gen 1
If you have mags that have the loader slot deleted and the ribs go all the way around - They are Gen II

The Gen I's pushed the bullet straight ahead and sometimes caused FTF because the bullet would get jammed into the back of the barrel face,,,
The Gen II mags adapted a fix to push the bullets center - striaght into the chamber

You see alot of people pushing both Gen 1 and Gen 2 mags here for what they cost retail from KVAR at $24,99 so buyer beware !!!
