I installed a wood furniture kit from Apex gun parts. Total cost of the gun with wood kit, 2 mags, and bayonet was <$500 (Hawaii is way expensive)

I was shooting 4" right and 4" high with what appeared to be a canted FSB. I adjusted the sight and I got minute of man near the center. The groups were actually better than this of course, I was just plinking. I only brought 60 rounds and was function testing it more than anything. Ammo was 60gr FMJ wolf. No keyholing. No FTFs.
I guess I got lucky. The one thing I REALLY wish this gun had that would make it 100% better in my mind was a chrome lined bore. But its not and oh well.
I like it, in fact I should have a clone of it in a few days. I ordered a 2nd 74 from Centerfire Monday along with a stock set from Apex.
The first rifle I got a few weeks ago also had a canted FSB (hitting 5-6" left @ 25yds even with the sight post drifted all the way left) so I sent it in to Century to fix, but it functioned great otherwise and I really like it overall.
I just received my APEX wood furniture set today and I am impressed with the quality you get for the price paid. I do have one problem though, when I installed the furniture I was surprised to find out that the screws that came with the original polymer furniture are too small for both the buttstock and the sling swivel. Has anyone else had this problem?
poly screws are smaller than the screws for wood. Go to Kvar or Apex again and order the proper screws.
