 How to fit a Vortex flash suppressor to a 106 CR.. Any thoughts?

Hey guys, I plan on SBRing my 106... after the ATF get back to me. I really want get a Vortex on there. Any though on how this can be done?

the only think I can think of it to leave 1/2" sticking out from the FSB and thread that. Someone had one made for him that had the 24mm threads on it then necked down.

who made it for him? i have a SEI/Fisher can on the way i would lke to run on my 74U Krink and 74 Bulgy clones, did he talk to Smith directly or have a custom shop do it?
i think i have herd of people getting a Blank adapter that threads on then making the break fit that.

he had it machined for him. Its in here (the krinkov thread) IIRC. Just gonna have to dig. I'll do some digging when I get the chance.


ETA: dug through 20 pages in the archives and could not find it.....

Rather than chopping the barrel to be flush with the FSB, why not have some of it protruding so that it could be threaded for a standard 14mm Smith AK Vortex? You could use your existing muzzle nut to protect the FSB threads.

You could do what this guy did.Scroll to the bottom. Blackout flash hider on slr-106fr
It's may not be exactly what you are looking for, but it works.
