Russian Red Lancaster Trigger Reset
Hey everyone. I bought a Russian Red Lancaster AK47 from a member on another forum.
I went to shoot it for the first time today.
After firing the first round, it cycles the next round but the trigger never resets. So I can't fire.
I dropped the mag and emptied the chamber, then took off the dust cover and cycled in manually a couple times and the trigger resets fine, but when I'm actually trying to shoot, it's no good.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks!
Make sure both of the legs of the hammer spring are on the tail of the trigger.
need to clarify "reset"
two things could be happening. The hammer is following or the disconnector is not releasing. In the former, you need to adjust the hammer shelf height and disconnector engagment.
If the latter, it could be one leg of the spring not on the trigger, as mentioned above, or it could be the relationship between the hammer shelf and the disconnector - excess friction = no reset.
Finally, some aftermarket pistol grips will bind on the trigger causing the same problem - TAPCO's SAW por ejemplo
