Arsenal SA-M7 bent barrel or upper?
Just got it and heard that AK's tend to have bent uppers or barrels.
Shot way to one side so I had to push the windage on the front sight all the way to the opposite where it now shoots fine to 100 yards with Brown Bear Ammo, wonder if there's anything I can do so I have some room left to play adjustment wise by "straightening" ether the barrel upper or both and how to go about it?
Source for where you "heard" AKs have bent barrels? Just interested.
Maybe out of respect for Arsenal you should change the title of your thread to something like "Trouble sighting-in my AK" until you know for certain that your barrel is bent.
The sights are sometimes canted, but on an Arsenal, most likely are not. They are sighted-in at the factory (did you get it new? Did it come with a factory sight-in target?) so if there was anything way out, you would never see it.
I have four Arsenals and none have had any sort of problem.

AKs don't have "uppers", so it can't be bent. Whoever told you that AKs have bent uppers knows absolutely nothing about AKs.
I've examined a lot of AKs and never seen one with a bent barrel. If bent barrels were common, I'm sure i would have seen one.
If the rifle shoots to POA why do you feel the need to "...play adjustment wise..."? Zero the rifle and leave the front sight alone.
Most likely your front sight tower is canted a little bit, the AK and AR can have this problem due to the height of the front sight. being canted just a little can throw the sights way off.
One way to check is to put the rifle in a padded vise with the bolt carrier and cover out of the rifle. Put a level across the top of the receiver and level the rifle , while snug in the vise look down the sights from the rear . ( adjust your front sight back to the center position.) you should be able to tell visually if the front sight tower is tilted.
Is the front sight maxed out all the way to one side? None of my rifles have a completely centered front sight post. I've had century build guns that I had to crank the front sight post all the way over against the front sight housing to get them on paper. If it were that bad, it would bother me.
The problem is the AK has its front site installed wrong... Its not indexed to the center of the barrel... if you had a bent barrel you have a very dangerous rifle.... Of coarse it would have to be really bent,,, The only way to fix this is to reinstall the front site with bigger pins or you can try bending it in the direction its shooting and see if you dont break the front site or loosen the pins.....
