 interordnance AK acting up

My gf bought an IO ak at a show a few months back and just got to shoot it today for the first time. She complained the bolt carrier was sticking to the rear, and the muzzle jumped to the right.

I fired a few rounds through it, and I think I diagnosed the carrier problem as a bad mag, but the recoil was really harsh for an ak, and the muzzle did wrench to the right with every shot. Ammo was Wolf 7.62x39 FMJ.

Anyone hear of this happening before?

Extra power recoil spring might slow that rascal's cyclic rate down

Sounds like it's overgassed.

i had a RPK that had alot of recoil and vibration. i put a new recoil spring in it and added a chicom gas tube. i know they say the piston is not under pressure after it leaves the gas block but if you are over gassed it couldn't hurt. not sure which one helped the most but it was way better afterwards.
