Hello gents.
I am an advisor for the Afghan uniformed police and cannot for the life of me get a front sight tool for the police AK's. I have been through the acquisition process for both the American and Afghan side of the house and no one seems to be able to cough one up. I personally am not an AK guy and don't know anything in terms of field expedient fixes or where the best place to pick up a couple of them would be. Any information would be very helpful.

I've been told that these are the absolute best front sight adjustment tools you can buy.

I do not have any personal experience with this product.

I would go with this:

Tapco also has a cage code.

I'm assuming you need to adjust for windage and not elevation? Elevation can be adjusted using the cleaning kits that I would think would be provided with the rifles. If not than any of the ones posted above would work also along with being able to adjust for windage. I bought my tool from Tapco. Cheap and easy to use.

Thank you for your service and good luck!

+1
I have one of these and it is heavy duty. You don't need to spend a ton on an ak sight tool.

If you have some C clamps and a socket set lying around those can work in a pinch too.

I am actually good friends with the guy who makes/invented the magna-matic tool, if you need him to call you shoot me a PM with a way to contact you, he ships them all over the world so getting them to you should not be a problem. I can call him (He lives right down the street from me) and he can contact you.

I have used them in the past, they are great tools.

The Tapco tool is fine.

As the above poster said, a C-clamp and a socket (like from a ratchet) works fine too.
