I will post a pic in a few, but don't count out the WASR. I own many AKs including two Arsenals. My WASR shoots the best and is the most accurate. I have mine tricked out to the max and an only in $1000. But you can get a base WASR for $400-500 and upgrade slowly.

Or the new Romanian M10 is pretty cool also.

The trick to finding a good WASR is try to find one stamped pre 1970 and make sure it is Cugir made.

If you are against the WASR, the Yugo M70 are sweet for around $700

Here is a pic of my "bug out" guns. My WASR is one of my go to guns. Pictured on bottom.

Top is my Arsenal SGL21.. TWS dogleg rail, micro T1.

That is "Sasha" my number one gun. Got the gun for $825, but have seen then for $760

I hate to admit it to myself, but the WASR out shoots the Arsenal when it comes to accuracy.

I have been heavily considering a slide fire myself. Just afraid of burning up my barrel. I might put one one my beater AK. They look super fun

I like the one for the AK . The one for the AR looks cheesy . I was just shooting 4 or 5 rnd bursts it was great . Not to mention every single person at the range stopped and looked over in jealousy . Most thought it was an automatic AK . very easy to use also

But honestly AK is the way to go when it comes down to SHTF. so reliable, few parts, low maintenance, big bullet, etc.

I love my ARs too, but when zombies come, I am taking my best AKs and my nines.
