Is anyone making Ak's that aren't simply Saiga conversion that have chrome lined bores? Why the hell are all of the American made barrels chrome moly? It can't cost more than $50 to upgrade........

Yea, I don't really care for that "style" of AK-the stock is about uselesss, the donkey dick up front is in the way for mag changes- it's not a very "user friendly" rifle.......I had thought with the ban going away etc....things would get better.....they really haven't. We just have cheap shit that isn't as cheap as the Maks' of the 90's with half the quality......
Why the hell can't we have a "standard" configuration, decent quality AK for less than $900?

You may be right. I'm thinking of the GP75's which do not have chrome lined barrels. Do all of the WASR's have them? the 10's, 10/63's etc....

My 10/63 was chrome lined. I think, generally speaking, that the Romanians chromed their barrels.
You may be right. I'm thinking of the GP75's which do not have chrome lined barrels. Do all of the WASR's have them? the 10's, 10/63's etc....
