How to instal Tapco AK74 brake on TGI Model AK-74 gun
I bought the gun in the subject line and in order to put a Beryl folder on it I have to add one more US part.
I bought a Tapco AK74 brake and when I unscrewed the one on the gun it looked like TGI had taken the original threads and installed a huge bushing then screwed on their own 74 brake to the bushing. Am I okay to take the bushing off legaly?
How do I remove it?
Will the threads under the bushing match the Tapco break?
Will the detent that keeps the brake from unscrewing line up correctly on the Tapco break.
Thanks

Did you get this brake ? if you did its made for a standard ak47 rifle with 14x1 threads, you need a AK74 brake with 24mm thread see second link,

There is no bushing. The threads on an AK74 are on the front sight base. So don't go trying to remove some bushing that actually isn't there, you'll just tear up the rifle
Like the other guy said, you are trying to use an AK47 muzzle device on an AK74 rifle. It won't fit, you need to use one made for an AK74.
+1 on comments above. Also that Tapco brake is crap, it only resembles the 74 brake. It has no expansion chamber.

If you go usa 74 brake knock off go arsenal
I just went to Arsenal's website and they don't have one listed. Any other suggestions on this?

I am taking a US stock off of it to add a Beryl folder. I have the reciever, handguard, pistol grip and trigger pack.
I figured the muzzle device would be the easiest and cheapest without modifying magazines. Am I right?

Receiver - 1 part
handguard - 1 part
pistol grip -1 part
fcg - 3 parts
are you saying those are all US made? If so, you have your 6 parts and are compliant.
Don't I need 7?
