Kalashnikov Vodka ??
Has anyone seen or bought any of this? I have the AK-47 shaped bottle that comes in the green wooden case complete with dog tags on order from a local "Total Wine" outlet store. (Sounds like a place where you meet women.) After talking to the manager at the place I found out as he was ordering it for me he is into guns and owns a few AK's, so he's "one of us". I'm hoping it will arrive in the next few weeks. Bill T.
I prefer my vodka from Holland.
JONNO,
Is it as smooth as Stolichnaya?? Bill T.
What in the world does that thing cost??.

From the site:
Until
further notice we are unable to make delivery outside of Moscow due to
the contracted Courier notifying us that they are no longer able to

currently seeking an alternative delivery source that is at a
commercially realistic price and once we have secured that, we will
post notice of that on the website. In the meantime, if you are
interested in receiving an email when deliveries start again, please
complete the order form and provide us with your email contact details,

regret the inconvenience, but it is a matter that is outside our

LOL! Check this out!
Violent Vodka...
Apparently, the folks at this site are not only (by their own admission) "snobs," but they are gun fearing, panty wastes as well. Whoever wrote this article has probably never even
held a real gun and would probably have an allergic reaction to the blued steel if he did. What a complete fail!
I hope they can make it available I'll by a couple.

I've got the "Tommy Gun" Vodka. It was $40.00. They had it on the shelf. This is the first I've heard about the shipping issues. Just my luck. Bill T.

I'm confused where on that site do they come across like they "fear guns" or anything like that. To me they seem to get a kick out of the novelty of the shape of the bottles and even enjoy the contents.
They call it "cool bottling"
Apparently they're not just relying on the cool bottling and name
recognition, either...they've won quite a few awards in Russia, which
is saying a lot because the Russians take their vodka very seriously.
Hardly the words of a "gun fearing panty waist but I guess maybe I see it wrong.
And this is what they say about the tommy Guns vodka
The company plans to roll it out nationwide by 2008." We can't wait to
get our hands on some and pull the trigger! Learn more about Tommy Guns
Vodka at
Again how is that "gun fearing panty waist. I know there are alot of anti-gunners out there but try not to find stuff when it's not there.

I went to the site, and according to what they have listed, the cost will be 250 British Pounds. That translates to
$407.05 ! ! They're nuts ! Bill T.
I bought the Polish version of this named "Kalash". It has the same AK shaped bottle, all of the bottles no matter the brand are produced in Poland. I got it for $70 in Poland and brought it back with me. I would recomend bringing it back anymore with the current pain in the #!* airport security. I havent opened it and dont plan on it. m4whore
that'll make a nice bong...

That's kinda the idea. There's a removable plug in the "globe" part of the bottle.

wrap it up in a few towels/heavy clothing and check it in. hopefully no one will dig through the checked bags and not do a decent job of wrapping the bottle back up. hypothetically speaking, i may or may not have done this with some cuban rum when i traveled to europe. not that cuban rum is particularly hypothetically tasty, just that it'd be nifty to own...hypothetically speaking.
I remember seeing some video of Mr. Kalashnikov being presented this AK shaped bottle of Vodka and he did not look very approving.
Niiiiiiiiiice....

As for best vodka brand, for once the French actually outdo everyone IMO...Grey Goose.
their marketing sure is good! there are better value vodkas out there (STOLICHNAYA!!!)

A little off topic, but I once saw one of those news shows (I think it was John Stossel maybe?) where he gathered a group of people, all of whom had a favorite vodka. They swore up and down that their favorite brand was best (most swore by Grey Goose), and that in blind tests, they could easily pick it out among all others.
You can probably guess how that ended: In the blind tests, NONE of the people could successfully identify "their" vodka, they all hated Grey Goose, and about half of them picked the $13 rot-gut stuff as the best overall. LOL!
Here is a part of that test.

I'm surprised that Stolichnaya didn't approach him years ago to market something like this. Bill T.
My local ABC store contact can get me Kal. bottles for $20.70 + tax if I buy a case. A lil' steep unless I resell some of the surplus bottles (shhhhhh!)

Depending where you live, (I'm in Phoenix), you might be able to pick up Kalashnikov in a conventional bottle here:
