I am not much of an AK guy. I picked this up yesterday.
I didn't give the optic much attention before the purchase. At the time I thought it was the same as what had been on the PSL I traded away a couple of years ago. Once I got home I realized it has a battery housing and 'compression' switch. So I did a search here and scrolled though the picture thread tacked in this forum but didn't see anything exactly like this one. Though I admit, I may have just overlooked it.
Any information is appreciated.
Looks like a POSP 4x24 with SVD mount, great optic but the SVD mount isn't designed for the AK rail and may have problems retaining zero.
What does the front plate say ...where the rubber piece attaches to the scope (in front of the on/off switch)
Do you have a pic of the inside of the optic that shows the mount?

Front plate says:
4x24-A
Made in Byelarus
No0001468
I'll get a pic and edit this post.
Here is the pic.
And I discovered something. A little toggle switch.

It works!
I had/have no real intention of using this optic. Is it worth much?

Google turns up all kinds of stuff including a bunch of airsoft, so I can not get an honest feel for value.
Generally speaking a scope like yours can be thought of as the civilian version of the PSO that the Dragunov uses. There's more to it than that but it gets the gist across.
This one is probably about $200, it sounds like a Belarus POSP 4x24 made by Zenit/BelOMO. While it is a relatively rare silver color it's not particularly special from what I know of them. Based on the bulb design I think it's an older scope calibrated 7.62x54R (which are the most common type). Modern POSP's use a different style bulb than the original PSO-1. Your bulb actually looks more similar to the PSO-1 than the modern POSP. I don't know when or how often but it seems there was a stretch when Zenit seemed to be putting out silver optics rather than hammer grey or black, which is another reason I think this is a somewhat older scope. These days my impression is that no one makes silver optics but I don't have that nailed down, it's just an observation.
Here's an example of the reticule on a PSO-1, yours might be similar: 1,5m range finder or 1,7m range finder on yours?
And the PSO-1 top along with the Chinese JJJ version and a civilian POSP 4x24 with AK mount on the bottom. It's not easy to see the bulb differences but the one on the bottom is modern, yours is very different
