Bulgarian Waffle (circle 10) magazines - Best mag ever
I hvae BEEN AROUND, and have been shooting AK's since the very early '80's. I'm one of the guys who had an AK before ammo was readily available in the US and had to pay a buck a round to shoot my AK (Valmet) back in the day. Since then, I've played with a LOT of AK's and a lot of AK magazines. I honestly have no complaints about the steel AK magazine, it's built Ford tough, and there are very few "bad" one's out there.
But the polymer Bulgarian waffle magazines are the absolute best magazines (of any kind) I've ever had the pleasure of working with. I have offically shot the dog crap out of mine and they look as good as the day I bought them. So I recently picked up 3 more 30 rounders and a 40 rounder from DS Arms, at 25.99 for the 30 and 36.99 for the 40. Not fantastic prices, but certainly a fair price for what is, in my opinion, the best magazine in the world.
Now, I'm hearing really good things about the current production Palm magazines, but I just have a hard time believing they have significatly improved on the Bulgarian 30; but I'd be very happy to be proven wrong.
So, here's one hearty endorsement (non-paid) for the Bulgarian Waffle magazine; the best there is.

I agree they are good, but the current steel mags have also been good, compared to the surplus mags from the 80's and 90's the current steel mags are 99% or better condition, especially those chinese being sold as as eastern european.
For 9-10 bucks each, I rather get 3 steel mags than 1 waffle mag for 30.

+1. For the price of the surplus European mags, I rather get 3 for the same price of one waffle mag. Ofcourse, I did ordered 10 from AIM yesturday.

Without a doubt, the steel AK magazines are the best steel magazines ever built, and I don't wish to give the impression there's anything wrong with them. And the deal going at AIM is simply awesom, and I was THIS close to ordering some. But then I thought, when was the last time I regretted buying the best. I had seen the promise land, and I just couldn't settle for second best. Love the steel AK mags, but the Bulgarian synthetics are just as good as a magazine gets.
