If you've recently ordered 7.62x39 Yugo on strippers from Armory....

I just received six 1120rd cases from the Armory and they came in cardboard boxes. Since I'm putting this ammo away in my SHTF stash, I'm keeping them in the cardboard boxes. So I'm asking anyone who's ordered these same rounds recently from the Armory, what are the dates on the boxes and rounds that you've gotten from them? Just curious.

I resisted ordering this ammo in the past because it's corrosive. But after a lot of reading on this website about cleaning the rifles after using corrosive, I took the plunge. I love it having brass cases and love having them sealed in their original tins and crates. Put away deep in my basement, they should be viable for many decades to come. Ready for the bell I hope never rings. I previously got 4 cases of recent production Russian Uly for SHTF, but when I decided to further bulk up my SHTF stash I looked harder at the Yugo stuff. It's nice to avoid buying any more Russian stuff this time. I don't like the feeling of putting any money in their pocket any more than I have to. They still not friends of ours. They're still trying to interfere with our interests all over the world. They seem to always cooperate with all the tyrants and dictators at every turn. I don't begrudge anyone buying ammo and guns from them because our freedom is top priority with me. In fact I bought MAK's, SKS's, magazines and ammo from the ChiComs in the early 90's, knowing I was buying from other "bad guys". But again, our rights and freedoms come first.

Don't know about the dates on boxes but I remember reading somewhere that the headstamps showed a mix of dates from the 70's in any given batch. I bought 900 rds of the 15 rounds boxes last year to stash away. Might shoot a little to try it out.

I have ordered three cases one was from 75, one 78 i think, and one 85. All of it has been awesome ammo.

From a few loose boxes I previously bought I see there's a red sealant around the outside of the primers. I don't see any sealant around the case mouth. Is there any sealant just inside the case mouth where it meets the bullet? With the way these cases are sealed up, this would make for as good long-term storage as you can reasonably have.

Thanks.
