How do you clean the angled part between the barrel and gas tube?

I use a small tooth brush to clean the inside of the gas block. I occasionally run a pipe cleaner through the gas port if i'm only firing noncorosive ammunition.
I have a tool that's made for scraping the carbon out of the port. I've never had to use it.

Q-Tips and Shooters Choice. Don't get the head stuck in the port.

Some of the EG cleaning kits come with a wee brush for cleaning the gas port.
I just use a pipe cleaner.
