ATF and Parts Cleaners
Does/has anyone used a smaller parts cleaner or sonic cleaner for harder to clean parts like breaks, piston heads etc?
I was also wondering about using ATF (just the cheapest Dexron), because of the detergents, in a small vibrating cleaner and figured that would make almost effortless removal of carbon build up.
I know you can buy CPL buy the gallon and I am sure it would work alright, but ATF would be cheap and possibly clean better.
I just use soapy water in my US tank. It's even cheaper than ATF and works well to remove carbon.
You do have to oil when you're done as all the oil will be removed. BSW
