Bolt and Charging handle not going back in on S&W M&P sport

What's up guys finally got my first AR. Bought a Smith and Wesson M&P sport for 594$. Took it out the other day and put some rounds throught it. Cleaned my M&P 15-22 no problem last night but after cleaning my 15 sport i can't seem to get the charging handle assembly to slide back in with the bolt they seem to be hungup. i already turned the cam pin i beleive on the bolt so the bolt would slide back in. i'm not too sure on what else to do hopefully someone else can help a newb out being that the book it came with is no help

Why don't slide the charging handle in first, from the rear, until you can feel it move down into its track. Then, with your bolt unlocked, slide the bolt carrier into the rear of the upper, with the gas key set into its recess on the charging handle.
While you are at it, give a look at the -10 in the Manuals section of ARFcom.
