Does anyone use foam cleaners? I've been thinking about using Wipe Out but there are other brands I can get locally. I really don't want to mail order it since I can't find Wipe Out.

What do you use?

I use the BreakFree foam. It does a good job of removing copper fouling, and doesn't smell bad.

F**K Wal-Mart. Pay $1 more and buy it from a local small business gun shop.

Read the can guys. My can of breakfree foaming cleaner had a big "DO NOT USE ON ANODIZED ALUMINUM" on the back of the can.

Might be something they changed since my can was a few years old.

On the back of my foam cleaner is says DO NOT USE ON GAS SYSTEMS i guess the theory being that is can up in the gas tube and dry gumming up the works..

I've been using the liquid "Wipe Out-Patch Out" for a few years now and use it with great results on all my guns now. Yes, not a good idea to use any of the foaming bore cleaners on a gun with a gas system, as most foaming products state. Need to be careful what cleaning products you allow to get into the gas system area from the hole in the barrel, as some products can cause damage if they get in there.

Wipe out is the best foaming bore cleaner I have used and I have tried them all. It works fricken awesome! It removes copper better then Sweets which is pretty strong stuff and Wipe out is 100% safe on all gun finishes.
