Rifle still "off" even after returning for service work

Have somebody else shoot it from a rest. If it is fine (shoots to point of aim) obviously it is your technique.
I'm not sure what kind of force your "firm grip" is applying, but if you don't have a free-float fore end, it could have some effect.
I'm also not clear on what you are complaining about.
Are you complaining that you have to move the sights to zero the rifle?
If yes, that's why they are adjustable.
