A3 Sight post too high using RIBSZ

I have a BCM4 with a removable carry handle sight marked 3-6 When I calibrate it to bottom out at -8 for the Improved Bttlesight Zero . I notice my Front sight post is a hair above the FSB protective ears? and the adjustment wheel is all the way out of its hole. The Post feels like it is almost ready to fall out.

I pulled it out of the case today and noticed the post was bent. Most likely caused by it being higher than the FSB ears with its tip just exposed.

Anyway, is this common for The RIBSZ settep on an flat top ?.. should I get a taller FSP like the one Bushmaster has?

Been a while since I checked, but isn't the setting supposed to bottom out at 6/3 -4?

The true setting is -3 but going to -4 gives that extra click to insure that -3 is not bottomed out. With a removable handle you need to double the number of clicks however there is no need to double the buffer click also. Set the wheel to stop at -7 and then zero at -6 @100yds.

That said are you using a F or regular FSP?
