I took this out of my gun somewhere i guess when i was taking it apart but dont remember what it is at all. please help

Hard to really tell from your pic but it sort of looks like a taper pin from the front site base maybe?

Sorry for the pic. But I never had a front site. I had a flat top gas block but it's way bigger than a regular pin. Idk what it could be. Wonder if it's super important?

It may not be from the gun but it was Laying in the gun case with it so idk what else it could be. It has rounded edges too. I just wanna make sure it's nothing important.

That is, without doubt, a front sight base taper pin.
If you don't have a front sight base that takes taper pins don't worry. If you do, check it and see if it's missing one.

Actually I think you're right. The old gas block had one pin I couldn't get out and the gunsmith did it for me. He must've sat it in there. My new Troy low profile gas block has screws on bottom. Thanks guys! I'm relieved now
