My AR saftey lost tension, it still works, but won't hold either the safe or fire position, also goes 180 degrees instead of 90 degrees, can anyone help me?

Take your grip off and see if your detent is broke or sheared, and also if you have issues with your spring. When you take the grip off dont let the spring go flying across the room though. Could have some dirt of something jammed in the hole where the detent goes preventing it from engaging. Its pretty easy to fix just dont loose the parts.

AFAIK an AR15 selector should not be cut to allow 180 degree rotation.
However there is no telling what exceptions there may be out there.
In any case you are going to have to pull the pistol grip and see what the problem is.

That's the problem, I changed lout the Grip, it came with no instructions and I evidently lost the detent and spring. Thanks you for your time and effort
