Do I have to use a modified spring with my slash buffer?

if its the car-10 or car-10XH buffer that you have, then you don't need any modified spring

I recommend using a modified spring with the CAR-10 and CAR-10 XH buffers for maximum reliability.

With the UBR and a stock spring, I dont think you will be able to lock the bolt back. I remember cutting 2 or 3 coils off and all was fine.

I just bought a buffer and spring earlier. I went with the CAR-10. 20" upper with a UBR stock. Did I make the right call or would you recommend the heavier XH version? The XH is intended for suppressed 308 AR10's, correct?

I have extra armalite new springs so what is the modification I need to perform? Did I reduce the life of some parts using the car10 with stock armalite spring?

I have slashes buffer and spring in my AR10 carbine with a UBR stock and it works perfectly.
