Gasd port size
I have a 24" SASS barrel I cut to 18" it will not cycle without the can. What size dose the barrel gas port need to be. I have the SASS adjustable gas block.

The gunsmith opened my dissy up to .10. I have read 7/64 will work as well. Good luck.
Opened mine up to .0935 #42 bit. I found some more info that said .099. My ammo is not hot and it now cycles so I think I'll wait and give the torture test in couple of weeks and see how it works. Thanks for your input.

I was told .084", my 18" .243 runs fine at .077"
Mine stated out at .086 and would not run without the can at .093 it seens to do fine I'll fine out soon when I get some more ammo loaded to test. I can dedal with a little more recol just don 't want any stopages.
