Been in the works for a long time.....Armalite AR-10 lower with Magpul PRS stock, Rock River Arms 2 stage match trigger and Knights trigger guard. Upper receiver Armalite......Broughton 5C stainless barrel, PRI carbon fiber rail system, Armalite adjustable gas block. The suppressor is from Elite Iron along with the custom brake. It is a reflex design similar to Knights where the can extends over the barrel back towards the gas block, and indexes on a threaded mount. This allows the area from the muzzle back to act as a large expansion chamber, adding to overall suppression.

Dale did all the barrel work including chambering. He did five barrels for one of the military branches forward operating groups and I talked him into doing this one for me. Progress reports received back from the group stated that the rifles were holding 3/8" groups at 200yds, so my expectations are high for accuracy. Waiting on my glass as of now....hopefully not too long!

Have to get my buffer and spring , and am torn between Heavybuffers.com and the Enidine hydraulic. Would like some feedback form those who have experienced both.

Great looking stick!

I have ran both the PRI adjustable gas block and the heavy XH 10 oz buffer. They were ran individually and seperatately and I did not note any clear advantage of running both together. IMHO the heavy buffer increased felt recoil and was harder to control the rifle during precision firing. Now I only run the adjustable gas block.

The Armalite gas block isnt really adjustable is it? Basically on and off?

Want a XH buffer gimme a shout out.

It's set for open and suppressed, which restricts the amount of gas going back and still cycle the action....

I personally recommend the PRI gas block LINK

but the XH buffer maybe the route you wanta go since your GB is already in place.

Nice combo.

That gas tube just barely clears doesn't it? You could run into a problem if the gas tube is close as the weapon fires and the barrel oscillates it might hit the handguard somewhere and cause accuracy problems. Slow mo video showed a problem on REPR's so I keep an eye out for these kinds of problems more. Did you have to notch the handguard directly behind the gas block to clear the flare on the gas tube or does it clear?

Cool build.

Dale notched the handguard and did an exceptionally clean job. He also milled the screws on top securing the rails so they would not interfere with the gas tube. With the profile of the barrel and the rigidity of the rail system as well as the suppressor acting (to a point) as a harmonic stabilizer, I shouldn't have any issues with the gas to coming into contact with the rail. The other thing I like about this rail system over the factory one is that it somewhat envelopes the gas block and makes for a cleaner looking application. The factory one has that large gas block just kinda hanging out there.
