the link says it can use standard 5.56 mags with the corresponding upper.
How does this work and can you do it with an ar10 from armalite?
I wanna build one for my pops for hunting whitetail and i have a few 5.56 uppers but i'd like to get an ar10 lower and just carry two different uppers to my ranch so can you guys give me the basic stuff i need to build to get an ar10 to function like this?
also do i need some mag well blocks to make the 5.56 mags seat well?

This is the first I've seen of this. I would think there would be an issue with the lower accepting 7.62 and 5.56 mags. No you can't do this with an Armalite AR10.

The sp901 uses a spacer of sorts when using the 5.56 upper and mags. It's not on the market yet...
I'm not sure I'm sold on the idea. I prefer my 5.56 guns to be light as possible and a 7.62 size lower is not as light.
thanks guys i'll just stick with the 5.56 lowers and get a 6.8 upper and call it a day
