What do you all like for backup iron sights on AR10 carbines? Thanks!

I like the stand alone rear sights. I use the LMT one. RRA makes one too that seems well made, the LMT has a big knob to tighten and loosen, and the RRA has 2 allen screws. The RRA is sleeker.

I also like the diamond head sights too. But you need to use those on the same plane. Right now, I use the Midwest flip up front for the AR10 gas block and the LMT stand alone rear sight. I really like this setup.

I have a MI in the front and a GGG in the back. Very nice reliable flips. The ARmalite scope mount is too low to allow for flips other than the KAC.

GG&G AR-10 Front Flip, the only AR-10 front flip that I'll buy:

TROY for the rear sight.

Have you seen our NEW one piece scope mounts? They have a 1.45" rail to center optic as opposed to the older one piece scope mounts that are 1.25".

Troy micro height flip up sights. Standard heights ar sights are too high. The troy micros co-witness perfect with an ADM CASV mount. American defense mfg. These are almost low enough for me.

Do you have the front troy micro mounted on the gas block rail or just on the handguard rail top?

Just so I don't buy the wrong sight: AR15 gas block sight is too low for AR10, correct? I will have to buy one that was made specifically for the AR10?

Thanks!

Correct. AR10 gas block sight is taller.

I ordered a Midwest Ind's gas block mounted front sight. The website said it was for the 10 but turns out to be for the 15. I asked asked MI if a longer sight post would do the trick and was told that would not get the sufficient height. After the holidays I'll shell out the cash for the correct sight.
