I'm considering selling or trading my Super SASS and getting an LMT MWS. My main considerations are lighter weight and quite honestly I don't have anywhere close that I can shoot past 500m so i'm thinking the SASS is overkill. What do you guys think? Am I crazy?

Thanks,
Mark

The LMT MWS probably won`t be all that much lighter than the ArmaLite. My AR 10T and MWS feel pretty equivalent when I handle them.

I just bought a SASS. Stronger alloy used for the receivers and 20" SS barrel from the get-go. I was contemplating an MWS. In the end, the MWS would make an excellent and very accurate battle rifle and hence the reason I chose the Armalite. The SASS on the other hand would be the tack-driver. Got cash? Buy both.

The LMT MWS is not that much lighter especially after you add optics. I've shot my 21" NoveskaLite back to back with the MWS and see little difference weight wise.

Cut Your SASS barrel down to 18 inches and throw on a ACS, EMOD or Crane stock and call it a day. You will be amazed how big a difference 2 inches will make in hadling. Do all this will be cheaper than selling your SASS....
