5, next question.

I couldn't help it.

A lot of components will swap and a lot won't. Check out the stickies on the .308 cal AR10's. You did know that the main difference is a bigger cartridge in the stretched AR10's right.

as previously stated by another member...'balls'...the AR10 has much bigger ones!!! same concept, just the rifle is designed around the larger 308-7.62 round.

Well, the AR10 is an ArmaLite and the AR15 is a Colt with some of the really old ones being marked Colt/ArmaLite since the original AR15s were developed by the original ArmaLite before Colt bought the rights to the rifle.

Then there's the 5.56x45 versus 7.62x51 thing..........................

oh yea, I forgot to mention that the AR-10 brings with it bigger smiles when you shoot it...
...and bigger holes...
...longer distances...
...better penetration...
...bigger smiles...
...it's just all better...

....Larry...I'm shocked...You forgot the most important part of the lesson....
The ArmaLite AR-10 was the FIRST...The 15's came next.....so Really...the AR-15s were fashioned after the AR-10....
I think what everyone has said so far sums it up....
